“The narrow gauge toy train from Kalka to Shimla — 103 tunnels, 864 bridges, mountain scenery at walking pace — is one of those journeys that could justify a trip to India by itself. We arrived in Shimla in the late afternoon with the mountains golden and the town quiet. Magical.”
