Day-by-day itinerary
Your hosted arrival in Delhi. Private vehicle, named meet-and-greet, smooth transfer to your hotel. Your guide meets you in the evening to walk through the itinerary — the sacred geography you are about to traverse, the spiritual context of each city. Delhi tonight is the beginning of a journey into India's oldest living civilisation.
Old Delhi holds layers of sacred and imperial history. Jama Masjid in the morning — one of Asia's great mosques, built by Shah Jahan — and then the lanes of Chandni Chowk. Humayun's Tomb in the afternoon: the first great Mughal garden tomb, completed in 1570, and the prototype for what became the Taj Mahal. Your guide reads the history without turning it into a lecture. Evening in New Delhi at leisure.
Drive to Agra. The Taj Mahal is often described as a monument to love — but it is also a monument to Islamic paradise architecture, Quranic inscription, sacred geometry, and Mughal cosmology. Your guide explains the building not just as beauty but as meaning. Agra Fort in the afternoon. Return or onward travel in the evening.
Sunrise at the Taj — the city's finest hour. Then Fatehpur Sikri: Akbar's abandoned sandstone capital, built in 1571 and deserted within fifteen years. The Buland Darwaza, the Dargah of Salim Chishti, the Panch Mahal. Onward to Prayagraj in the afternoon.
Prayagraj is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati — one of the holiest spots in India. The Sangam at sunrise by boat: three rivers, brahmins at prayer, pilgrims bathing. Your guide explains the Kumbh Mela — why twelve years, why here, what the astrology means. The Allahabad Fort and the Patalpuri Temple within it. Anand Bhavan, home of the Nehru-Gandhi family, if interested. Evening in Prayagraj.
Ayodhya is one of the most sacred cities in Hinduism — the birthplace of Ram and a living site of pilgrimage, temple-building, and continuous devotion. Your guide provides the Ramayana context and the historical layers of the city as you walk its main streets and temple ghats. The Ram Janmabhoomi complex, the Sarayu riverfront, the ancient temples. Ayodhya today is a city in transformation — your guide helps you understand what you are seeing and why it matters.
Road or rail to Varanasi. Varanasi — also called Kashi — has been continuously inhabited for at least 3,000 years, possibly longer. Your hotel is near the river. Evening: Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat — seven priests, brass lamps, conch shells, fire, incense, and a city gathered at the Ganges at dusk. Your guide explains the ritual structure and the mythology behind every gesture.
The private boat goes out before first light. The ghats emerge slowly from the dark — lanterns on the water, sadhus at prayer, the smoke of the cremation fires at Manikarnika. Your guide is quiet unless asked. Late morning: the lanes of the old city — the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex, the ghee and flower markets, the weaving quarters. Afternoon rest. Optional evening: Ganga Aarti again, or a private sitar performance at a haveli on the ghats.
Sarnath, 13 km from Varanasi, is where the Buddha gave his first discourse after enlightenment — the Deer Park, the Dhamek Stupa, the Sarnath Museum and its Lion Capital. The proximity of Varanasi and Sarnath is no accident: this stretch of the Ganges valley is where both Hindu and Buddhist thought reached their earliest classical forms. Your guide draws the connections without conflating the traditions. Afternoon at leisure in Varanasi.
A final dawn hour at the river — a cup of chai on the steps of a ghat, the morning unfolding as it has for millennia. Breakfast at your hotel. Private vehicle to Varanasi Airport. Your concierge handles check-out and departure logistics. India does not let go easily. The departure is calm, warm, and unhurried — because that is how every day of this journey has been designed.

Varanasi — Contextualised, Not Commodified
Varanasi overwhelms visitors who arrive without preparation. Our expert guides provide deep cultural and spiritual context before and during the visit — the meaning of the aarti, the geography of the ghats, the history of the city as the oldest living settlement on earth. You will leave understanding India differently.
Private Ganga Aarti Viewing
The Dashashwamedh Ghat Ganga Aarti is one of India's most powerful ceremonies. We secure private boat positioning for our guests — not a shared tourist boat, but a positioned private vessel that allows unobstructed viewing at the correct distance and angle, with expert commentary throughout.
Ayodhya Expertise
Ayodhya is transforming rapidly following the Ram Janmabhoomi consecration. Our team has current, first-hand knowledge of the new pilgrimage infrastructure, access routes, and how to visit with dignity and without the crowd stress. We update our protocols after every consultant visit.
Sunrise Taj Mahal — Managed Precisely
The Taj Mahal at sunrise requires gate-time management, the right entry point, and an experienced guide who knows how to move you through the site before the coaches arrive. We have been doing this for 15 years. The result is a sunrise experience that stays with you.
