Day-by-day itinerary

Your private vehicle meets you at Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3. Your driver holds a name board; your concierge representative has confirmed your hotel check-in. The drive into Delhi is unhurried — your guide or concierge gives a brief context on the city's layers before you settle in. The hotel is central, curated, and ready for you. The first evening is yours: the rooftop bar, room service, or a quiet walk if the evening is cool. Delhi asks nothing of you tonight.

Old Delhi in the morning is the city at its most alive and most atmospheric. Jama Masjid — one of Asia's great mosques, built by Shah Jahan in 1656 — at 9am, before the heat arrives. The lanes of Chandni Chowk with your guide: the spice market at Khari Baoli, the silver merchants of Dariba Kalan, the sweetshops that have been there for a century. Afternoon: Humayun's Tomb — the first great Mughal garden tomb, and the architectural prototype that eventually became the Taj Mahal. Evening: New Delhi's Connaught Place or the Khan Market area.

The Yamuna Expressway carries you south to Agra in around three hours. Your guide accompanies you in the vehicle and provides context on Mughal history, the architecture you are about to encounter, and what separates a good Taj experience from an ordinary one. Agra Fort in the afternoon: the enormous red sandstone complex where Emperor Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb all held court — and where Shah Jahan spent the last years of his life imprisoned, with a view of the Taj across the river. Dinner in Agra.

Gate-opening time. Your guide brings you to the Eastern Gate thirty minutes before sunrise. The Taj in this first light — pale stone slowly turning amber, the reflection pool still, almost no other visitors — is one of the most genuinely moving architectural experiences on earth. Your guide explains the geometry, the calligraphy, the love story, the Mughal cosmology, and the myths that surround it. Two hours minimum. Breakfast back at the hotel. Late morning: Fatehpur Sikri — Akbar's abandoned sandstone capital, 40 km west, and one of the finest examples of Mughal civic architecture anywhere. Return to Agra for the road to Jaipur.

The road west from Agra to Jaipur crosses the boundary between the Mughal world and Rajasthan's Rajput kingdoms. The approach to Jaipur takes you past the fortified hills of Nahargarh. Check in to your palace or heritage property. Evening: a walk through Johari Bazaar, Jaipur's jewellery quarter — gold, silver, and gems traded here since the 18th century. Dinner at a haveli restaurant in the old city.

Amber Fort at 8am: the ramparts, the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), the lake view. Your guide explains the Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty and their sophisticated alliance with the Mughal empire. Afternoon: Jaipur's City Palace — still partially home to the Mewar royal family — and Jantar Mantar, the extraordinary 18th-century stone observatory designed by Jai Singh II to read the sky with unusual precision. Evening in the bazaars: Tripolia for lac bangles, Bapu for textiles, Johari for gems.

A day at a pace of your choosing. Options include: a morning hot-air balloon over Jaipur (seasonal — one of the finest ways to see the city and its forts); a blue pottery or block-printing workshop visit; a cycling tour of the new city; or a day trip to Abhaneri (the extraordinary 9th-century step-well, 95 km east). Alternatively, a full morning of leisure at your palace hotel before an afternoon departure toward your next destination.

For guests on the extended version: road or flight to Udaipur — the City of Lakes. Check in to your lake-view property. Sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola: the Lake Palace Hotel floating on the water, the City Palace above, the Aravalli hills behind. Dinner overlooking the lake. For guests on the standard 9-day version: departure preparation, final morning in Jaipur, and transfer to Jaipur's Sanganer Airport.

For extended guests in Udaipur: City Palace visit with your private guide — Rajasthan's largest palace complex, 400 years of royal accumulation. Saheliyon Ki Bari gardens. Afternoon flight from Udaipur to Delhi or your onward connection. For all guests: private transfer to airport, concierge check-in support, and a warm farewell. India, done the right way.

Why Globalduniya · IATA · ACTA · TAFI Accredited

Six global offices. Uncompromising standards.

A North American-bonded travel company serving elite, HNI and UHNW clientele since 2008 — from Gwalior, Vancouver, Surrey, Toronto, Miami and Seattle

The Golden Triangle — At Its Best

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur form the world's most visited travel triangle. Most visitors experience it rushed and overcrowded. Globalduniya's private version is different: gate-time Taj Mahal, morning Amber Fort before the coaches, and Udaipur as the cultural crescendo that most packages skip entirely.

Sunrise Taj Mahal — Our Signature Moment

We have been managing private sunrise Taj Mahal visits since 2008. We know the East Gate protocol, the best guide positioning, and how to create a private 20-minute window before the site fills. This is the experience our guests remember for the rest of their lives.

Udaipur — City of Lakes, Properly Experienced

Udaipur is the most romantic city in India. Most tours pass through in a day. We allow two full days — the City Palace in the morning, the Lake Palace boat at dusk, private dinner by the water, and the lesser-visited Saheliyon-ki-Bari at dawn the following day.

Palace Stays — Personally Selected

The Taj Palaces itinerary uses palace and heritage hotels throughout. Globalduniya's team has personally stayed in every property — we know the best room categories, the kitchen quality, and the service standard. You receive an honest recommendation, not a commission-driven one.
