India Tours

The logistics of a journey this long across India could have been stressful. Everything was pre-arranged, every transfer was waiting, every guide introduction was smooth. We never had a moment of uncertainty about what was happening next. The Leela Palace Delhi and Oberoi Amarvilas Agra were outstanding.

Twenty days of extraordinary India and we saved the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai for last. The Gateway of India view from our room, the Harbour Bar, the history of the building itself — a perfect finale. Our overall coordinator Priya was available and responsive throughout the entire journey.

From the Thar Desert landscape around Jaisalmer to the Alleppey backwaters in the same journey — India's geographic range is staggering. Brunton Boatyard in Kochi was a wonderful base for Kerala's coastal phase. The Kochi spice walk with our guide was one of the trip's best half days.

Any one of those moments would be a trip highlight. To have both in the same journey, connected by great hotels and a superb coordinator, was extraordinary. Taj Nadesar Palace in Varanasi was a genuine discovery — we had not heard of it and it was exceptional.

North India's Mughal grandeur, Varanasi's ancient spiritual intensity, Kerala's lush quiet and Mumbai's city energy — India contains all of this and we saw it all. Guide changes between cities were smooth and every guide clearly had deep personal knowledge of their region. A true grand journey.

We are both in our seventies and were concerned about pacing. Every concern was addressed before we even arrived — rest days factored in, hotel locations chosen for ease, a gentler pace in the afternoon heat. The Leela Palace Delhi is the finest city hotel we have ever stayed in.

Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, Kochi and Mumbai. We have finally done India properly. The continuity of having one Globalduniya coordinator throughout — even as guides changed city by city — made the whole journey feel seamless. Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai as the finale was magnificent.

We had worried about India being overwhelming as a first destination. Globalduniya understood this and delivered an itinerary that felt managed without feeling sanitised. The real India was always there — the chaos, the colour, the warmth — but with a guide to interpret it all.

Amber Fort pe elephant ride karna hamaare bachon ki favourite memory ban gayi poore trip ki. Fort ke andar phir guide ne history itni interesting way mein batai ki bachon ne khud sawaal poochhe. Udaipur mein Pichola Lake pe boat ride bhi ek beautiful family moment tha. Trip ekdum perfect thi!

Our guide spent two hours at Agra Fort and made every room, every window frame, every water channel meaningful. The octagonal tower with its marble pietra dura and the view of the Taj from Shah Jahan's prison chamber — it is a place that tells a profoundly human story.

Pehli baar itni lambi India trip ki aur bilkul thaka hua feel nahi kiya. Guide ne pace ekdum sahi rakkhi. Taj Mahal subah mein dekhna aur phir Udaipur mein Lake Palace ki taraf boat se jaana — dono experiences ek doosre se bilkul alag hain par dono equally beautiful hain.

We had done the Golden Triangle ten years ago on an independent trip. This time we added Udaipur and the extension was absolutely right. Lake Pichola at sunset, the city palace, the evening boat — Udaipur is extraordinary. Guide in all four cities was knowledgeable and warm.

Delhi, Agra, Jaipur aur Udaipur — in charon cities mein bahut kuch milta hai. Taj Mahal sun rise pe dekhna was breathtaking aur phir Udaipur ki Pichola Lake ne trip ko perfect ending di. Guide ki local knowledge bahut kaam aayi. Overall bahut seamless experience tha.

I was travelling solo and a little apprehensive. Sunita, my guide throughout, was not just knowledgeable but a genuinely wonderful companion. She negotiated every crossing and crowd without fuss. Ranthambore was incredible — our jeep saw a tiger on both drives. Globalduniya exceeded every expectation.

India felt overwhelming before we booked but Globalduniya made it feel like a private adventure. The highlight reel: Taj at sunrise, a textile merchant in Jaipur's old city who gave us a cup of chai, and a tiger at thirty metres in Zone Three of Ranthambore. Rambagh Palace was magnificent.

Mughal history in Agra and living wildness in Ranthambore — the contrast was striking and deliberate. Our guide spent two days with us in both phases which created real continuity. He even remembered we preferred the tea served with less sugar — small things, big difference.

We nearly booked just the Golden Triangle. Adding Ranthambore was the best last-minute decision we made. SUJÁN Sher Bagh is worth the trip alone — the design is beautiful and the canvas under-canvas experience at night felt like a different world from the city hotels.

We came primarily for the photography. Our guide understood this and positioned the jeep for the best light both mornings. A female tiger resting near the lake at golden hour on day two was the shot of our trip. Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra was everything.

Three cities plus a national park in nine days sounds rushed but the pacing was excellent. Our guide helped us skip the crowds at Amber Fort by going early. The Ranthambore jeep was out on the track by 6:15 and we had two tiger sightings across our two drives.

This itinerary has everything. The Taj sunrise was extraordinary but then two days later watching a male tiger mark his territory at Ranthambore trumped even that. Our naturalist guide explained the behaviour in real time. Sarovar Premier Jaipur was a comfortable base.
