I went to Rishikesh for the yoga and came back transformed by the whole experience. The early morning yoga on the banks of the Ganges, with the Himalayan foothills rising behind the river and the smell of incense from the ashrams — this is the India I had imagined but had not believed possible. Our yoga teacher Ananda's morning sessions were exceptional. The Haridwar Aarti was a profound addition and Mussoorie's mountain air was a welcome cool contrast after the Gangetic plains heat. Globalduniya handled every connection and the handovers were seamless.

We deliberately sought an India itinerary that avoided the standard monuments circuit and Globalduniya designed this Himalayan foothills journey for us. Haridwar's Har Ki Pauri ghat at the evening Aarti — the Ganges flowing fast over the steps as the bells ring across the water — is one of the most intensely spiritual experiences of our travelling lives. Rishikesh's yoga ashrams and the suspension bridges over the Ganges are beautiful. Mussoorie provided the Himalayan panorama we had hoped for — clear November skies and snow on the distant peaks. Our mountain guide Bijay was excellent throughout.

First-time India visitors are often told to start with the Golden Triangle. Adding Varanasi turned a good trip into a transformative one. Varanasi's Sarnath — the deer park where the Buddha gave his first sermon — was an unexpectedly moving visit and added a Buddhist dimension I had not anticipated. Our guide had detailed knowledge of both Hindu and Buddhist traditions and answered every question with patience and depth. The hotels throughout were well-chosen and my room at the Varanasi heritage property overlooked the Ganges. The sunrise from that room was extraordinary.

The sequence of this itinerary is well-designed: Delhi's urban energy and monuments, Agra's Mughal masterpiece, Jaipur's royal Rajput heritage, and finally Varanasi's timeless spiritual intensity. Each city requires a different mindset and our guides shifted their approach accordingly. The Ganga Aarti by boat — watching the ceremony from the river rather than the crowded ghat edge — was a highlight we will describe to grandchildren. Globalduniya's local knowledge in booking the river position for the Aarti was alone worth the premium over booking independently.

We nearly did just the Golden Triangle. After speaking with Globalduniya's team, we agreed to add Varanasi and extend by two nights. The extra two nights were the two most memorable of our lives as travellers. The burning ghats are confronting and unforgettable. The morning boat ride on the Ganges as the city comes to life at 5 am — bathers, priests, flowers, chanting — is a scene of overwhelming beauty and humanity. The Golden Triangle hotels and guides were all excellent. But Varanasi was the journey's soul.

The Taj Mahal represents India's Mughal perfection — the controlled, geometric, breathtakingly beautiful. Varanasi represents India's ancient, chaotic, profoundly alive spiritual core. To experience both in the same ten days is to begin to understand the country's extraordinary range. Globalduniya paced the journey thoughtfully — the two Varanasi nights after the more tourist-oriented Triangle cities felt like a natural and necessary deepening. My guide in Varanasi, Hari, was one of the most intellectually engaging guides I have encountered anywhere in India or elsewhere.

We added Varanasi to our Golden Triangle itinerary on the recommendation of our Globalduniya consultant and it was the single best travel decision we have ever made. The Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat — 108 priests in synchronised ritual as the sun descends behind the ghats — is the most powerful ceremony I have witnessed anywhere in the world. The pre-dawn boat ride revealed life on the ghats in all its raw, beautiful complexity. The Golden Triangle cities were excellent, as expected. But Varanasi transformed this from a sightseeing trip into a genuine journey. Our guide Suresh in Varanasi was exceptional — thoughtful, philosophical and deeply knowledgeable.

India is a country that rewards proper preparation and the right local partner. Globalduniya handled every element of this luxury itinerary without a single misstep. Pre-arrival briefings covered dietary preferences, room preferences and interests in detail. The hotels — Leela Palace Delhi, Oberoi Amarvilas Agra, Rambagh Palace Jaipur — all delivered exceptional stays. The Taj at sunrise with our guide, who had secured us the ideal position before the crowds arrived, was everything I had hoped for. The private vehicle throughout made the journey comfortable and efficient. Highly recommend Globalduniya for luxury India.

As Indians who grew up visiting these cities on family holidays, we wondered whether a luxury guided version would add anything. It added everything. Our guide Dinesh showed us aspects of the Taj Mahal — the inlay work, the calligraphy, the optical illusions built into the architecture — that we had never noticed in ten previous visits. The Oberoi properties elevated the experience beyond comparison. A wonderful and very different way to see our own country's treasures.

We have done India twice before with group tours. This was our first private luxury itinerary and the difference is absolute. A private guide who learns your preferences on day one and adapts each subsequent day accordingly; a vehicle that waits exactly where you need it; restaurants pre-booked at the right time. The Leela Palace in New Delhi and the Oberoi Amarvilas were both at the top of their category. The photography opportunities at golden hour at the Qutb Minar, the Taj at both sunrise and sunset, and the Amber Fort ramparts were handled expertly — our guide positioned us at exactly the right moment.

India was not the obvious honeymoon destination but we wanted something memorable rather than the standard beach resort, and Globalduniya delivered a genuinely magical ten days. The Rambagh Palace in Jaipur is one of the world's most romantic hotels — a former royal hunting lodge turned Taj property with impeccable gardens and superlative food. The Taj Mahal sunrise visit with just our guide was timed to perfection. Every hotel had been briefed for our honeymoon — flower petals on the bed, a bottle of champagne on arrival, and consistently warm and personal service. Thank you for making it so special.

We chose the luxury version of the Golden Triangle specifically for the Oberoi properties and they surpassed every expectation. The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra — where every room looks directly at the Taj Mahal — is simply extraordinary. Waking at dawn to that view from bed is an experience money can provide and we are not embarrassed to say so. The Oberoi Rajvilas in Jaipur was equally exceptional. The private guide allocated to us for the full eight days, Ashish, was one of the finest we have encountered in twenty years of international travel. His knowledge of Mughal art, architecture and history was encyclopaedic.

We have done more adventurous India itineraries over the years but returned to the Golden Triangle for a short visit with family. Globalduniya handled a group of seven across three generations — from our 8-year-old grandson to my 72-year-old mother — with complete professionalism. The vehicles were appropriate, the pacing was adjusted for the children, and the guides tailored their commentary for mixed ages. Even a fourth visit to the Taj Mahal produces wonder. The organisation was flawless.

We only had six days in India and were worried it would feel rushed. Globalduniya paced it perfectly — the driving distances between cities are manageable and the guides made every hour count. Agra's Agra Fort is often overlooked beside the Taj but it is a genuinely impressive site in its own right and our guide spent a full hour explaining the Mughal lineage from the ramparts. The hotels were all well-located and comfortable. Our driver Sanjay drove safely and smoothly across all three cities. Highly recommend for a short but immersive India experience.

I had wanted to visit India for ten years but was intimidated by the idea of planning it independently. Globalduniya's Golden Triangle Classic was the ideal solution — structured enough to feel safe, but with enough free time to explore independently. Delhi's Chandni Chowk market visit with a local guide was a highlight I would never have managed alone. The Taj at sunrise is not a cliché — it genuinely is the most beautiful building I have seen. Jaipur's pink streets and the rooftop dinner overlooking the Hawa Mahal was a perfect final evening. I will be booking again for South India.

My husband is a wildlife photographer. I am a heritage architecture enthusiast. Globalduniya found us the itinerary that perfectly served both. Ranthambore's tiger and landscape photography opportunities (the fort ruins as background are spectacular for wildlife images) and the Mughal architectural photography at the Taj, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri produced a body of work we are both proud of. The guide knew when to wait for the perfect wildlife light and when to position us at the right architectural angle. A genuinely dual-interest itinerary with exceptional execution.

As a solo female traveller interested in both wildlife and heritage, this itinerary covered exactly what I wanted. The wildlife section at Ranthambore was managed with complete professionalism — female naturalists are available on request and my guide Ananya understood the particular interests and questions I had about the female tigers and their territories. The heritage section through Agra and Jaipur was beautifully paced. Two tiger sightings and the Taj Mahal in the same ten days is an India experience I would recommend to any solo traveller.

We booked this trip specifically for the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur and the rest of the itinerary turned out to be equally remarkable. Arriving at the Lake Palace by boat across Lake Pichola as the sun descends behind the Aravalli Hills and the white marble of the palace glows in the golden light is one of travel's great theatrical arrivals. The hotel does not disappoint once you are inside. The private audience with the royal family's representative at Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort, arranged by Globalduniya, was an extraordinary addition — hearing the fort's history from someone whose family built it is incomparably better than a standard tour.

Ranthambore's tigers against the backdrop of the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort ruins — tigers climbing through ancient gates and sleeping on Mughal battlements — is a uniquely Indian scene. You will not find tigers and medieval architecture in the same frame anywhere else on earth. We had four tiger sightings across three game drives, including a stunning male tiger walking directly toward our jeep. The Taj Mahal at sunset — a different experience from dawn, more golden in colour — was equally extraordinary. A masterfully conceived itinerary.

We saw a tigress with her cub at Ranthambore on our very first morning game drive — before breakfast, before the full heat of the day, the jungle still mist-covered. The combination of that wildlife experience with the Mughal grandeur of the Taj and the Rajput heritage of Jaipur and Agra's fort in one ten-day itinerary is the perfect India introduction for nature and heritage lovers alike. Our guide adjusted the itinerary to add a second game drive at Ranthambore when conditions were good. The flexibility that private guiding provides is essential for wildlife travel.
