Take Hwy 101 South around 1.5 hours (Towards San Jose) Exit at Hwy 156 West (Monterey Peninsula Exit) Hwy 156 moves toward becoming Hwy 1 South Follow Hwy 1 into Big Sur (roughly 40 miles) Turn directly into the passage of Post Ranch Inn (simply past U.S. Mail station) 

From Los Angeles Airport: 

Estimated driving time 6 to 7 hours 

Take the 405 Freeway North to Ventura Freeway West, (Hwy 101) Continue on Hwy 101 until the point when you achieve San Luis Obispo, (roughly four-hour drive.) In San Luis Obispo take the Morro Bay Exit North – Highway 1 Continue north on Hwy 1, passing San Simeon (Hearst Castle), Ragged Point, and other residential areas. Post Ranch is roughly one hour north of Ragged Point. Proceed on Hwy 1 into Big Sur. Once past Nepenthe Restaurant, search for a left turning path. Take a left-hand turns into the passageway of Post Ranch Inn.
