โWe had been told Peyto Lake was even more blue than Lake Louise. It is. The elevated viewpoint, the wolf-head shaped shoreline visible from above, the impossible turquoise โ it stopped us both in our tracks. Lobstick Lodge Jasper was a comfortable end to the Icefields Parkway drive.โ

โYamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath aur Badrinath โ in charon dham mein darshan karna hamare jeevan ka sabse bada spiritual anubhav tha. Globalduniya ne itni mushkil route ko itna organized bana diya tha. Kedarnath ke paas pahuncha toh aankhon mein aansoo aa gaye bina kisi wajah ke.โ

โWe are not Hindu but the Char Dham pilgrimage route is one of the great Himalayan journeys regardless of faith. The landscapes โ Gangotri Glacier, the Kedarnath climb, the Badrinath valley โ are extraordinary. Our guide was exceptional on the Hindu pilgrimage tradition and deeply respectful of our different faith.โ

โKedarnath ki chadhhai bahut mushkil thi par jab mandir ke darwaze dikhe toh saari thaan gayi. Darshan ke waqt jo anubhav hua woh explain nahi ho sakta. Globalduniya ne health aur safety ka poora khayal rakha โ paani, snacks aur rest stops sab pre-planned the.โ

โStanding at the Gangotri Glacier source of the Ganges, understanding that this ice feeds the great river that sustains hundreds of millions of lives downstream โ it was a genuinely profound moment. Our guide connected the ecological and the spiritual dimensions beautifully. An unforgettable pilgrimage.โ

โBadrinath mein subah ki puja ke waqt mandir khulte hai aur woh pahla darshan โ ghante bhar queue mein khade hone ke baad โ ekdum alag hi feel tha. Guide ne line management bahut achhi ki aur humein sahi waqt pe pahunchaya. Char Dham ka complete journey ek lifetime achievement hai.โ

โFourteen days through Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur and every single day produced a handful of hero shots. The Taj Lake Palace at sunset from the Udaipur ghats was the image of the trip. Our guide Deepak knew exactly when and where to position us for the light. Rambagh Palace in Jaipur set the tone magnificently.โ

โRambagh Palace, RAAS Jodhpur, Suryagarh Jaisalmer and Taj Lake Palace Udaipur โ four nights in heritage properties that read like a Rajput history lesson. Each one had its own character and the service was extraordinary in every case. Our guide was exceptional throughout.โ

โWe expected the palaces to be the highlight but the camel ride into the Thar Desert at dusk, with the Suryagarh staff setting up chai and snacks on the dunes, was unexpectedly moving. The desert light is extraordinary. Suryagarh itself is a beautifully designed property.โ

โWe knew Jaipur and Udaipur would be stunning but Jodhpur's old city surprised us most. Walking the narrow lanes below Mehrangarh Fort with our guide, the indigo-painted walls at every turn, the spice sellers and the sound of temple bells โ it felt completely authentic. RAAS Jodhpur has perfect fort views.โ

โThat is a bold statement but Udaipur earned it. The lake, the ghats, the City Palace, the surrounding Aravalli Hills โ it is absurdly beautiful. Our guide arranged a private boat on Lake Pichola at dusk which was genuinely one of the best hours of my life. Taj Lake Palace for two nights was a dream.โ

โWe spent weeks planning an India trip independently before finding Globalduniya and handing it over. Every hotel was better than we would have found ourselves, the guide pacing was perfect and the Jaisalmer fort walk at dawn, before the day-trippers arrived, was a privilege.โ

โControversial opinion but Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur is more impressive than the Taj. The sheer scale, the carved jali windows, the view over the blue city from the bastions. Our guide Arjun spent three hours there and we could have stayed all day. Hotel Nachana Haveli was a perfect boutique base.โ

โWe came expecting colour and got colour โ but also depth, history and real warmth from every person we met. Our guide Priya spoke excellent Mandarin phrases which charmed every local vendor we encountered. The Taj Lake Palace is as spectacular as it looks in the photographs.โ

โEverything we read about Rajasthan turned out to be true. The colours, the fortresses, the warmth of the people. Ajit Bhawan in Jodhpur was our favourite property โ the garden cottage felt like a personal haveli. Sunita's knowledge of Rajput culture added so much to every site visit.โ

โStaying within the Jaisalmer fort walls is something we had always wanted to do. Our guide arranged access to the private sections of the fort at dusk, before the tourists left, and it was extraordinary โ the golden sandstone glowing in the last light. Suryagarh outside the walls was wonderful too.โ

โNot rushed, not too long. Each city got enough days to absorb it properly. Jaipur needed two full days to do justice to the City Palace and Amber Fort. Udaipur could honestly be extended by two more. The Leela Palace Udaipur was our favourite hotel of the entire trip.โ

โWe are in our sixties and this was the big trip we promised ourselves. Every detail Globalduniya organised was exactly right โ the hotels were extraordinary, the guide was a genuine expert, and the Rajasthan landscape is unlike anything else on earth. The camel cart through Jaisalmer's old city was a delight.โ

โJaisalmer ke dunes pe camel safari ke baad raat mein camping โ khule aasmaan mein taron ki barsaat dekhi. Ek ek tara itna saaf dikh raha tha ki hume laga Milky Way hamare upar hai. Suryagarh hotel bhi bahut luxurious tha aur desert setting mein aur bhi khaas laga.โ

โFrom the Thar Desert landscape around Jaisalmer to the Alleppey backwaters in the same journey โ India's geographic range is staggering. Brunton Boatyard in Kochi was a wonderful base for Kerala's coastal phase. The Kochi spice walk with our guide was one of the trip's best half days.โ
