Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about booking, visas, payments and what to expect on your journey.

Visa

Most western passport holders can obtain an e-Visa (eTV) online before travel. The Indian e-Visa is available for tourism, business and medical purposes. We provide a detailed visa guidance document at the time of booking. Visa fees are payable directly to the Indian government and are not included in our package prices.

As a licensed Canadian DMC, we can provide official invitation letters, hotel confirmation documents, and ground handling confirmations required for Canadian visa applications for Indian travellers. Contact our Toronto or Vancouver office for B2B support.

Payments

We accept international bank transfers (SWIFT/SEPA), credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via secure payment link, and in some cases instalment plans for higher-value bookings. Contact your regional office for local payment options.

We accept payment in GBP, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, and INR depending on the package. India-facing packages (domestic and outbound) are priced and payable in INR. Western market packages are quoted in the relevant local currency.

Cancellation terms are detailed in your booking confirmation. As a general guide: cancellations more than 60 days before departure incur a deposit forfeit only; 30–59 days prior incur 50% of the total; within 30 days incur 100%. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.

Yes. Select India-facing packages are eligible for no-cost EMI through major Indian banks and credit cards. Look for the 'EMI available' badge on the package page. The final EMI plan is arranged at the point of booking confirmation.

Booking

Fill in the 'Request a Quote' form on any package page or use the chat widget. A travel designer will respond within 24 hours with a fully costed itinerary based on your dates, group size, and preferences.

Absolutely. Every package on Globalduniya is a starting framework, not a fixed product. You can add or remove destinations, change the duration, select a different hotel tier, add a wildlife safari, or request a completely bespoke itinerary. Contact our team with your ideas and we will build a tailored proposal within 48 hours.

Yes. A refundable deposit of 20% of the tour price is required to confirm your booking and block the accommodation. The balance is due 60 days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full amount is due at confirmation.

Private tours operate from 2 passengers upward. Solo travellers are welcome on all itineraries — a single-supplement applies to account for private room costs. Contact us for a solo-specific quote.

Absolutely. Every itinerary on this site is a starting point. Our travel designers can add, remove, or swap any element — hotels, activities, destinations, or duration — to match your exact requirements and budget.

We can assist with international flight recommendations and connect you with our preferred aviation partners, but flights are typically booked separately to allow flexibility with routing and frequent-flyer programmes. Internal domestic flights within India are included where indicated in the package.

India Tours

Every Globalduniya India journey is fully private. Your vehicle, guide, and daily schedule are yours exclusively — no joining other groups, no compromises on pace or routing. We do not operate shared-coach or SIC departures for our India inbound programme.

Yes. All airport arrivals and departures within your itinerary are covered by private transfer with your dedicated driver. If your plans change — an early flight, a late arrival — let us know and we will adjust accordingly.

Monument and heritage site entry fees are not included in the base land package price, which keeps your quote transparent. Fees at India's most significant sites are modest, and your guide will manage all payments at each location.

Domestic flights are not included unless explicitly stated in your itinerary. Where your routing requires air connections — to Leh, Varanasi, Kochi, or elsewhere — we can recommend and arrange these at cost alongside your land package.

International airfare is not included. This is a land-only package — you fly into India on flights of your choice and we manage everything from your arrival at the airport onwards. Our team can advise on recommended gateways.

The India tourist e-visa fee is not included. Most international travellers apply online before departure — the process is straightforward. Our team is happy to walk you through the application steps and advise on timing.

Absolutely — every itinerary we present is a starting point. We can add extra nights, adjust the pace, include alternative destinations, upgrade accommodation at specific stops, or design an entirely new route. Customisation is part of the service.

We work with handpicked properties selected for character, location, and quality of service. Depending on your chosen comfort tier, this ranges from well-appointed boutique guesthouses and heritage hotels to established luxury properties. Specific hotels are confirmed at the time of booking.

Yes. Daily breakfast at your hotel is included throughout the itinerary. Lunches and dinners are at your own pace and cost, giving you the freedom to explore local restaurants and street food at your leisure — your guide will always have recommendations.

It is an ideal choice for first-time visitors. Your private guide manages every detail on the ground — from navigating busy heritage sites to handling local logistics — so you can focus entirely on the experience. We also brief you thoroughly before departure.

Yes. Because this is a private journey, the pace, activities, and accommodation are adapted entirely to your group. We regularly arrange India travel for families with young children, senior couples seeking comfort and ease, and milestone anniversary or celebration trips.

Transfer distances vary by itinerary, and we build generous rest time into each day — the pace is never rushed. Walking at heritage sites is generally gentle on flat terrain, and larger sites such as Amber Fort offer optional transport within. Longer driving days are balanced with shorter sightseeing schedules.

October through March is generally the most comfortable season across northern, central, and Rajasthan. Kerala and South India are pleasant year-round, though the southwest monsoon (June–September) transforms the landscape beautifully if you are willing to embrace it. We will advise on the ideal window for your specific itinerary.

Yes. You will have a named contact at Globalduniya throughout your trip. In the event of any changes — flight delays, health concerns, or itinerary adjustments — our on-ground India team responds quickly and handles arrangements directly. You are never left to manage disruptions alone.

Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended for all international travel to India. We advise comprehensive cover including medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and baggage protection. We are happy to suggest what to look for when choosing a policy.
