Premium Journey differs from Classic in three ways: accommodation is Fairmont or equivalent 5-star (not 4-star); a licensed mountain naturalist guide is included for all park days (not an interpreter); and the Icefields Parkway drive is supplemented with 2 additional stops (Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls with canyon walk) not in the Classic itinerary.

We use Fairmont Banff Springs (built 1888, 'Castle in the Rockies'), Fairmont Château Lake Louise (set directly on the lake), and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (historic mountain resort). Availability at peak season requires 4–6 months' advance booking. We hold annual block allocations at all three properties to secure preferred room categories.

Yes. The Columbia Icefield experience (Ice Explorer bus onto the Athabasca Glacier + Skywalk suspended glass walkway over the canyon) is fully included. This is the only place you can walk on a glacier in North America with a tour operator — the ice is 300m deep at the walking surface.
