Practical tips from your guide
- 💡Speedboat vs seaplane transfer: seaplane offers the unforgettable aerial view of atolls but is limited to daylight hours
- 💡North Malé Atoll resorts (30–40 min speedboat) are generally more affordable than outer atolls requiring seaplane
- 💡Snorkelling the house reef is free and often better than paid boat snorkelling trips — ask your butler at check-in
- 💡All-inclusive vs half-board: in Maldives, all-inclusive is almost always better value — calculate the wine and sunset cocktail cost
- 💡Best overwater bungalow direction: ask for east-facing for sunrise, west-facing for sunset — most resorts can confirm orientation
