Practical tips from your guide

  • 💡Geirangerfjord cruise: the 1-hour cruise from Geiranger village shows the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls at their best
  • 💡Bergen's Fish Market: buy fresh crab claw for NOK 80 from the same stall the locals use — far better than restaurant price
  • 💡Northern Lights forecast: use the yr.no app (Norwegian Meteorological Institute) — most accurate short-term aurora prediction

Flam Railway — world's most scenic train journey hai yeh

Flam se Myrdal tak mountain railway mein gaye aur har ek curve pe naya waterfall, new glacier aur new valley tha. Guide ne journey ko pre-brief kiya ki kaunse stations pe photo leni hai. Stockholm baad mein bhi amazing tha. Norway + Sweden ek trip mein — highly recommend!

Response from Globalduniya · Arjun Bose · International Tours Manager

Tanvi and Rohit, the Flam Railway is genuinely one of the world's great scenic train rides — a waterfall or glacier at every curve is not an exaggeration. Guide pre-briefing for the best photo stops is always the right move. Thank you.

Norwegian fish dinner in Bergen — freshest food in life

Bergen fish market pe shaam ko ek local restaurant mein fresh salmon aur prawns kha ke aayi — so fresh ki salt aur lemon ke alawa kuch nahi chahiye tha. Guide ne restaurant choose ki jo locals ke liye thi, tourists ke liye nahi. Norway mein seafood literally off the boat tha.

Response from Globalduniya · Arjun Bose · International Tours Manager

Kavya and Suresh, Bergen salmon so fresh it needed only salt and lemon — and a guide who chose the local restaurant over the tourist one. Norway's seafood freshness is legendary and you experienced exactly that. Thank you.

About Nordic Europe

Region: Nordics, Nordic Europe.

Best time to visit: June, July, August, September.

May to September for fjords and Flåm Railway. June to July for midnight sun. October to February for Northern Lights — but fjord cruises are weather-dependent in winter.

Questions about this package

Included. The Flåmsbana (UNESCO candidate, 20 km mountain railway) from Myrdal to Flåm is one of the steepest railway lines in the world and is included in the Norway in a Nutshell circuit on this itinerary. The descent through Kjosfossen waterfall is a genuinely unforgettable 1-hour journey.

Sognefjord (Norway's longest at 205 km) and Geirangerfjord (UNESCO World Heritage) are both included. Sognefjord arm cruise is covered in the Flåm–Gudvangen leg. Geirangerfjord cruise (1.5 hours) shows the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls — photographed more than any Norwegian fjord. Both are included in the package.

May to September for full access. June and early July are our favourite months: fjord water levels are highest (most waterfall flow), wildflowers are blooming, and daylight is 20+ hours. September is quieter, cheaper, and has early autumn colour. December to March offers Northern Lights possibility but fjord cruises are limited by weather.
