What is the best luxury India itinerary for a first visit?
For most first-time visitors, the Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), and Jaipur — is the strongest foundation. We build this as a 7–9 night private programme at the 5-star and heritage palace hotel tier, combining iconic monuments with exclusive stays. Udaipur is the ideal extension for a lake-palace finale at 10–12 nights.
Which India regions offer the best palace hotel experiences?
Rajasthan is the heartland of palace hotel stays — Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and especially Udaipur offer authentic royal properties. For north India heritage, Delhi and Agra have world-class international luxury properties. Kerala and central India wildlife lodges deliver boutique luxury of a different character — intimate, immersive, and nature-led.
How long should a luxury India holiday be?
We recommend 8–10 nights for a focused Golden Triangle luxury programme, 10–12 nights to include Rajasthan properly, and 12–14+ nights for a full north + south circuit or any itinerary combining heritage cities with wildlife or Kerala.
